In the aftermath of Karmelo Anthony’s conviction for the brutal stabbing death of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf, Springfield’s finest collection of professional victims and social media warriors—Ken Pacha, Tiara Standage, Reggie Guyton, Shatriya Smith, and Sontae Massey—have once again proven that facts, eyewitness testimony, and dead white teenagers are no match for their sacred narrative of eternal black victimhood.
For the uninitiated, here are the pesky details these activists have conveniently forgotten (or never knew in the first place):
In April 2025 at a Frisco, Texas high school track meet, Karmello Anthony sat down inside another school’s tent.
Anthony was told by other students beneath the tent to leave repeatedly (witnesses put the number around 15 times). He refused. Karmelo warned, “Touch me and see what happens,” with his hand already in his bag clutching the knife he’d brought along for the occasion.
When Austin Metcalf pushed Anthony on the shoulder, Anthony instantly drove his knife straight into 17-year-old Metcalf’s heart, and then ran. Metcalf died in moments, cradled in his twin brother’s arms. Anthony attempted to ditch the murder weapon and escape, but was apprehended shortly after the incident.
Every single witness to the crime told the exact same story. Students, coaches, black and white alike—corroborated the sequence. The jury barely deliberated and took less than three hours to convict Anthony of murder.
Local Springfield activists were quick to react after the sentence was handed down by the jury.
Anti-police activist Tiara Standage shared an AI-generated courtroom photo of the convicted murderer, gushing “I’m so sorry baby.”

Sangamon County Board Member Reggie Guyton shared his feelings with a theatrical “Whew… God be with that child” post, accompanied by a big red graphic solemnly declaring “I DON’T HAVE TEARS FOR KARMELLO ANTHONY — HE DESERVES THEM, I JUST CAN’T FIND THEM.”
Activist Sontae Massey changed his profile picture to Karmelo’s mugshot, with a simple “sigh…”
Sontae Massey amplified claims that a white Karmelo “wouldn’t even be charged”.
Activist Ken Pacha posted a graphic listing bullet-point “FACTS” about no Black jurors, peremptory strikes, the speedy verdict, and how the seated Anthony was supposedly menaced by a standing Metcalf.
Pacha followed up with a rant about “pervasive anti-Blackness,” “corruption of American morality & justice,” and calling critics “racist losers” with “room temp IQ.”
Executive Director of the Garvey Tubman Cultural Arts and Research Center Shatriya Smith shared several videos defending Karmelo.
One video posted by Shatriya Smith made the outrageous claim that Karmelo Anthony never even had a knife!
Another video posted by Shatriya Smith stated that Anthony was merely “standing his ground”, complained that none of the jurors who convicted him were black, and stated “the reason this keeps happening is because black people don’t have any political power.”
Another video posted by Shatriya Smith said “If you attack my black son, and he fights back, and you get hurt during that attack that you started, then he’s a murderer. So no matter how you slice it, you’re gonna say that my black son is wrong. Even if he’s running away, he’s wrong. When he fights back, he’s wrong. So what are you expecting from his black momma? Because I’m ready to burn it all down.”
Here’s another video posted by Shatriya Smith, which stated “This country has made it abundantly clear. It’s only self defense when you kill a black kid.” and that it was “abundantly clear that the brothers ganged up on Karmelo. But hey, somehow that was all ignored to stick to calling Karmelo the violent coward”.
The speaker goes on to say Karmelo was “a boy who literally asked if Austin was okay. There’s no gaslighting us. We knew this was about race.”
Here’s another video posted by Shatriya Smith, saying “Karmelo Anthony could have been beat to death that day, and instead he chose to stand his ground. Why are white folks up in arms over this?”
Calling Shatriya Smith dumber than a box of rocks would be very insulting to boxes of rocks.
You may be asking yourself a very natural question: WHY is there such an outpouring of sympathy for a cold-blooded murderer?
The most charitable answer is that these activists don’t know ANYTHING about the Karmelo Anthony case, didn’t follow the trial AT ALL, and are just responding to fiction that they have seen on the internet posted by people who’s entire identity is built upon racial tribalism and hatred of white people.
It would be very nice if this were true.
Alternative explanations for their behavior are much more grim.
Perhaps these activists ACTUALLY believe that the appropriate response to being pushed on the shoulder by someone is to stab that person in the chest? Do they ACTUALLY believe that Karmelo Anthony is not guilty?
Do these activists believe that Anthony is indeed guilty of murder, but they are simply happy that he murdered a white kid?
The question of why is not as important as a different question:
Now that we have seen these activists’ support of murderer Karmelo Anthony, how does someone who is sane, sober, moral, and prudent proceed forward in life with that information?
The answer to this is simple and straightforward.
Don’t go anywhere near Tiara Standage, Ken Pacha, Reggie Guyton, Shatriya Smith, or Sontae Massey. Don’t go anywhere near their families, friends, or children.
Don’t speak to them. If they approach you, turn and run. Don’t buy from them, don’t sell to them. Don’t employ them and don’t work for them. Don’t allow your children to play with their children.
What is to be gained by interacting in any shape or form with someone who believes that if you push them on the shoulder, they have the right to stab you in the heart?
